Rosa Panos now operates her own outpatient physical therapy private practice providing care to orthopedic, neurological, general diagnoses and lymphedema clients in Flagler County, FL, but it took hard work and dedication to get there.
As a civil servant, Rosa started her work life for the government and during the next 10 years climbed the ranks from GS 4 to WG-9. Wanting more, she left civil service to pursue her love of helping people and physical therapy.
In 1995, Rosa received her BS in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. Currently, she continues to pursue an MS in Oriental Medicine at Florida College of Integrative Medicine.
Since 1995, Rosa has been actively involved in caring for patients. She worked at The Life Care Center as Director of Rehabilitation Services in Charleston, SC through 1998 providing PT to geriatric patients with CVA, Parkinson’s, Gullain Barre, ALS, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and those with prostheses.
1998 took Rosa to Toledo, OH where she became Regional Rehabilitation Manager for HCR Manor Care. In this capacity, Rosa competently managed 13 skilled nursing facilities in the northeastern U.S, balancing the budget, tracking day-to-day operations, training and auditing all staff on PPS regulations, expectations and compliances. Rosa also became a sought-after presenter at several regional rehab meetings.
The East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC benefitted from Rosa’s ever-expanding rehab and nursing facility experience in 2001 where she became Rehab Director and reported directly to the COO. Rosa’s accomplishments were many: start-up centers for wounds, and lymphedema rehab for cancer-related patients; motivational technique training for physical therapists, to name just a few of her innovative ideas. In addition, Rosa capably continued her service to patients, reviewing X-Rays, MRIs, labs and medical records to assist in their physical therapy and POC.
Finally arriving in Flagler County in 2005 to open her own physical therapy facility, Physical Therapy Specialists of Palm Coast, FL, Rosa supervises all support staff and daily interaction with physicians to evaluate and treat all physical disabilities, impairments and neuromuscular diseases with a keen eye on each individual’s psychosocial abilities. Another area of her expertise is the treatment of lymphedema. Rosa has completed both basic and advanced certification in lymphedema training making her invaluable to post-op cancer patients. In addition, Rosa evaluates the need and sizing of REID sleeves and compression garments for women.
In her time away from PT, Rosa enjoys boating, fishing and traveling.
We welcome yet another dedicated, highly-qualified professional to the Hope to Help team…Rosa Panos. Hoping to help and her gifted, healing touch is what she’s all about!
